History of the School

FuzhouUniversityofInternationalStudiesandTrade, formerly known as Fuzhou Vocational and Technical College of Foreign LanguagesandTrade, was founded byWu Qinming in 2004 at No. 242-2, Wu Cuo Ding, Cangshan District, adjacent to the Fujian Normal University, covering an area of467acres.

In April 2006, the school was relocated to the city gate. In 2011, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was successfully upgraded to an undergraduate level, with the first five undergraduatemajors:InternationalEconomy andTrade,FinancialManagement, English, Japanese andAnimation.It filledup the blank of no private universities in Fuzhou(thecapital of Fujian Province).

In June 2009, the key construction project of Fujian province ——ChangleCampusofFuzhouUniversityofInternationalStudiesand--cameintooperation. In September 2012, the first phase ofthe east and west regionsinChangle campus wasfinished , with a total area of more than 230,000 square metersanda completion ceremonywasheld. In October, the schoolcompletedits integralmoving.
